STM3 S Backmon

Recently I have had programs and printers stall and when
checking the task manager, noticed the specific operation
appears twice in the TM, both items labled "not
responding". When I end task, I then get a window
stating showing STM3S BACKMON and the option to END NOW
or CANCEL.

What is this and what do I need to do to correct the
problem?

I have excatly the same problem, which seems to have started about 4 days ago (18th Oct). I am running Windows XP and I have the problem with Adobe Photoshop CS2. I print about 4 or 5 pictures, and then the system hangs. Task Manager shows Adobe Photoshop twice with non-responding, and when you close down it says 'STMS BackMon not responding'. Starting up Photoshop does no good, but reboot and it works for a few more prints, then hangs again. Any help appreciated.
