SR "Remote Assistance...?

I thought I had a problem with Windows XP when it would not recognize my
external modem & in the process of trying to fix it, I tried to reinstall
Windows XP. When that didn't work, I tried my System Restore & got this
message "Remote Assistance Prepare System Restore could not be located in the
dynamic link library WINSTA.dllrstrul.exe Entry Point not found". Can you
tell me what this message means & how to get back the System Restore? I
saved a couple of restore points in a folder but don't know what to do to
activate them so I can use the restore points.

System Restore only works when restore points are stored in the default
System Volume Information folder. Restore points cannot be saved anywhere
else.

You'll have to turn off System Restore on all drives and reboot. This will
erase all restore points in the default folder. After your computer has
rebooted, turn System Restore on again and create a new restore point. You
may as well get rid of the restore points you attempted to save separately.
