Spooler Subsystem error

I have a user who has been receiving the following error
message when trying to print; "Spooler Subsystem
application has encountered a problem and needs ot close".

They are getting this message when trying to print from
WordPerfect 5.1 (yes, a 16-bit program).

I have seen articles with info about this error messagee
but they mainly deal with Lexmark drivers (this user has a
Brother 5050).

Any ideas would be greatly apreciated.
