Spell check not working in Outlook 2007

I am unable to get spellcheck working in Outlook 2007. I have Word 2007 set
as the editor. The spellcheck feature works just fine in Word by itself.
I have no idea why it will not work in Outlook. The strange this is that I
have Outlook set to check spelling and grammar as I type. I'd appreciate any
feedback on this. Thank you.

Did you purchase a suite or Outlook and Word separately? What message format
do you use? Does it work if you press F7?
