Hi!
I just installed Service Pack 2 on one of my Systems.
After installation I noticed that My modem is not working checked (error No
28) I tried to install with the latest driver signed by Microsoft.

When the installation completes I get an error telling me

After that I'm getting the error:
(Finish)

*****************Same thing happens when I'm trying to install any Device
( even With THE UPDATED SIGNED DEVICES...)

I checked System event no errors related to any dependent service , Such as
Plug and play , shell hardware.....,..........
I have No disabled services,
.....

any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi!
Thanks Bob,

It's not about the driver , I Retrieved the driver from the WINDOWS UPDATE
SITE which is signed and verified by microsoft for SP2

and it's not just about the modem, every device driver installation has the
same result , I think it should be related to Service?!!!
may be about COM+?!!

Thanks anyway ,
Regards,
