I would suggest uninstalling Kazaa 3.0. If you must have a P2P
program, try Kazaa Lite instead - no popups, no spyware.

Hi, I installed kazaa 3.0

Since the use of this software can introduce an endless list of troubles to
a system, it's impossible for us to tell you how to fix the problems you're
having. The root of the problem could be malware (adware, spyware, etc) or
a virus (it commonly is). Or it could just be a bad install of Kazaa that
has fubar'd other system files (not as common but possible with any
software installation).

Suggestion: Uninstall Kazaa. If still no sound or icons, try System Restore
using a date from before the problems appeared. Then visit the Kazaa
website and read up on their software, common problems and so on in their
technical support area (try their online user guide). You may even want to
shoot an email off to themexplaining the trouble their has software caused
for you. They may have fixes or workarounds to suggest.

Sorry none of these suggestions worked

After uninstalling Kazaa, you have two things to work on: Getting the sound
card and its drivers reinstalled. May need to remove the sound card from
Device Manager and restart to let Windows re-detect it. If there are
drivers available from the sound card manufacturer that are more full
featured than when Windows provides (or if Windows doesn't have any for the
device), install them.

The shutdown problem could be a side symptom of the trouble the sound card
is having or it may be indicative of a different problem - perhaps a bit of
spyware or other intrusion. Be sure to scan the system with an up to date
antivirus program and a few anti-adware program such as AdAware or Spybot
Search and Destroy.

If you still have shutdown troubles, use the following site as a
troubleshooting guide to track down the cause:
