Sleep Button on Keyboard not functioning

S

Steve

I have just purchased a brand new Wireless Optical
Desktop Elite.

I have installed the supplies Intellitype 5.0 Software
and selected the correct keyboard, however the sleep
button on the keyboard does not work and is not
customisable within the software.

All of the other special keys are working fine - ideas
anyone?

Hello

Return the KB and get a replacement or new one, if you
just bought take it back

I don't think it's a problem with the keyboard itself,
just the software. It doesn't even list the existence of
a sleep button under the key settings tab in the
Intellitype software.

I hardly ever put my PC to sleep anyway, I was hoping to
be able to customise it with the software so that it
would shut down instead.

Even if it is a problem with the keyboard itself, I'm not
bothered about sending it back as I can still use the
mouse to sleep/switch off the PC if I want.

Yeah, it isn't a problem with the keyboard. Go Start-Control Panel-Power
Options-Advanced. See where it says "When I press the sleep button on my
computer:" set it to whatever you want.

Thanks Nathan

Awesome. I use my keyboard to put the computer into Hibernation all the
time. Very nice for an MCE Computer with a BT Keyboard :)
