Sidewinder software

[Static Butterfly]

I have and old Basic sidewinder gamepad that plugs into my
sound card. The d-pad won't respond when in driving mode
on GTA:VC when driving or for key input, but seems to
respond elsewhere. I tried to install the 3.02 software,
but it extracts, then tells me this:

Error creating process <setup\_SETUP.EXE>. Reason: The
system cannot find the file specified.

Is it just time to upgrade? (not that my poor self can
afford to)

You cannot install Sidewinder 3.02 on XP it's incompatible. Simple connect
gamepad to PC, go to the Control Panel, click on Game Controllers and use
the AutoDetect feature. XP will install it's own drivers.
