Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 and windows 2000

I have a force feedback 2 joy stick and I just installed
Win 2000 Pro on my system , the problems is game
controller see's the joystick ok but I have no functions
when I test and the software wont load from the cd . I,ve
tried every dirty trick I know without luck , is there a
way to make this work ?

If what you mean by "software won't load from cd" is that you get an error
message then you can just select to ignore it and continue with the install.
The software for that device was released before Windows 2000 so the error
message was just a caution on the safe side. It has been tested since and
should function fine on Windows 2000. Since the software was written for
Windows 9X systems you will have to be using and Administrator account for
the software to be able to run.

Hi, Copout here I too have a force feedback ( first
one out) and flight sim. 2004 and can't get either to
install. just wondered if you found a solution ?? Al.
