"Shared Music" folder is displayed as "My Music"

When I open the "Shared Documents" folder (from wherever, i.e., My Computer,
link, etc.) the "Shared Music" folder is not displayed as "Shared Music", it
is displayed as "My Music", which can be rather confusing when I'm already
in "My Music" and look to the left of the screen, in the Other Places
section, and see "My Music" instead of "Shared Music". I finally got used to
this little problem, but would like to get it resolved. Can anyone help?

Thanks

No resolution, that's the way it is. The "shared" folder is ..\All
Users\.., and in there the normal names remain "My...".

What I typically do to a new system is add a shortcut in each users "My.."
folders to the shared folders and name them "Shared Music" or "Shared
Docs" or "Shared Pictures".

I'd also recommend NOT checking the "Display Full Path In Title Bar"
choice (as this causes the taskbar button to take on that name, a
confusion), but DO check the "Display Full Path in the Address Bar" choice
(in Folder Options | View).

Then just get used to it!

Why should I get used to it, when it didn't used to be that way!! It used to
show "Shared Music" and I would like it to again. So there's got to be a
solution, since it hasn't always been like this. My system is not new, and
you've got your way of setting up things, and I've got mine. Plus, if I can
come onto newsgroups such as this and get these little problems resolved,
then I'm going to take advantage of that. Then I won't have to get used to
it.

Thanks for nothing

Have you tried renaming the folders? I recently restored my xp home system
with the restore disks and my shared folder has 2 folders named Shared Music
and Shared Pictures.I renamed one of them expecting to get an error message
but didn't and it was succesfully renamed.

I've tried that already Dusty, but thanks anyway. :)
