Setup cannot copy the file si3112r.sys

i have a A7N8X-deluxe mobo and a 160gb sata seagate hdd. I am trying to
install windows xp pro on the box. I already have a floppy for the sata
driver with all these files:
si3112r.cat
si3112r.inf
si3112r.mpd
si3112r.sys
siisupp.vxd
siwinacc.sys
txtsetup.oem

I hit F6 at the beginning of the installation. Then partition my
harddrive. Then I pick the sata driver for xp. Somehow i got the error
message "Setup cannot copy the file si3112r.sys" and I can't continue.
It happens to the other si3112r files too.

Any idea why?

I try other disks and got the same problem.

sounds like a bad floppy drive

Could be. Or possibly a corrupted file from the transfer...

tahuydat:
On an ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe MB we've been working with, our SATA floppy disk
contains the same ones as yours except ours doesn't contain the .cat file.
But that shouldn't make a difference I would think. Possibly that file was
included in a later BIOS (I don't have our machine handy at the moment so I
don't know its current BIOS).

Have you tried re:copying the files from the Drivers\SATA folder of the ASUS
installation CD? Maybe it was a bad copy? And, of course, a different floppy
disk.

If that doesn't work, see what, if anything, the ASUS site has to say about
this.
