Setting up home network with XP on notebook

I'm trying to set up a home network with XP installed on
my notebook. The installation requires me to make a
network istallation disk and I have no floppy on my
laptop. I can't get win 98 to recognize the network
without the XP instalation disk and all I have is the XP
recovery disk that came with the laptop. Of course it's a
DVD and I only have a CD rom on the desktop with win 98.
Even if it was a CD i don't think it would work. Does
anyone know where I can get the installation files to
enable the network oin win 98?

Thanks in advance

netsetup.exe is located in the win xp windows directory.
It is in the subfolder system32.
email yourself the file as an attachment.
logon your win 98 machine and download the email
then save the attachment to disk. Then "run" netseup.exe

Or you could upload netsetup.exe to one of those
free storage websites and then logon with the win98
computer and download the netsetup.exe file.

Or maybe it would be easier to manually configure
the win98 machine to match the win xp machine
using one of the online guides available at:
