Tomorrow morning I'll be moving PCR to a new server running a slightly different configuration, it shouldn't take long but it will mean that posting will be disabled for up to 2 hours while the move takes place.

The site should remain open in read-only mode for the entire move and I'll put a big notice on the site when it's about to happen :).

Hopefully the switchover will go unnoticed :D.

Not enough storage space for long term (new one has plenty left), plus there were better ones available for the price :).

I've tested out a new way of moving servers and the database is now running on the new server as of 10 mins ago :D. No downtime or disabled posting at all!

In the next 24 hours, most users will find that their DNS updates and start accessing the new server - however both the new and old are in sync.

I wouldn't normally have jumped the gun and moved servers tonight, but the test run went so well (and the background work took a while!), so I thought I may as well give it a go ;).

Thanks feckit, I've found the problem and fixed it now :). It looks like 6 posts were missing from the database sync for some reason!
