Scanning using Microsoft Office Document Scanning

I have purchased a Canon LiDE 70 scanner which when I use Microsoft Office
Document Scanning on my desktop the image is reversed i.e. black is white
etc. It works OK with my laptop. Canon say it is a Microsoft issue any
ideas?
