Saving Word Doc Updates other "orginal" Word docs with the Changes

Never seen this before. I'm creating several single sheet cover pages each
with a different content and different "Save As" Title. After about 20 pages
later, when I alter a cover page and save it, it alters other documents with
the new change I've made. And now, if I go back to any one of those
documents (each titled differently) and make a single change and save it
(doesn't matter if it's "save" or "save as") it affects all other docs.
Please help. It's quite frustrating.

It sounds like there is some combination of Automatically Update Document
Styles (Tools - Templates and Add-ins) and Automatically Update (in the
Modify Style dialog) at work here. You'd need to make sure that these
features are turned off in each of the documents and templates upon which
the documents are based.
