Saving project into a movie

Betty

Although my system meets or exeeds all the system
requirements metioned by windows movie maker, I am unable
to save a large (40 minute) video to my hard drive, the
total file size is just above 500mb, my remaining hard
drive space is just above 41Gb, I have expanded the
virtual memory settings and shut off all un-necessary
programs, including screensaver. At first, the program
would either give me a low virtual memory message, then it
appeared to be saving the file, only to complete about 11%
of the save, then nothing, it would finish as if it had
saved but only saving a small fragment of the movie.
Now I get a "Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to
the speciefied location. Verify that the original souarce
files used in your movie are still available , that the
saving location is still available and that there is
enough free disk space available, and then try again."
message. As I have stated, I have plenty of space for
saving, the save to file is exactly where it always was,
no change there, the original files have all been
verified, no change there, So can someone please help me,
is there just something wrong with thte save movie wizard
that it is not identifying my files, is it possible to
redownload windows movie maker? I have heard horror
stories about WMM2 and I am nervous about trying the
install, even though it's already downloaded, I did try
installing once and It just isn't showing up, I checked
the version and date of creation on my windows movie maker.
a couple of dlls installed from mm2, but nothing else.
Any suggestions? I have music set throught the entire
video, with about 8 different songs some overlapping
slightly to prevent dead air, if I had to chop this thing
up, I would never be able to get the same effect, I have
been working on this project for over one month and I am
running out of patience. I have one word for you HELP!
Thank you, sincerely, betty

I have the same problem that you have discussed. Did
anyone reply to your query?? Have you been able to
resolve the problem?

Is your hard drive formatted as FAT32 or NTFS. FAT32 has a file size
limitation of 4gb and if this is a 2 hour movie and you're saving as a
DV-AVI, it's going to be around 25gb in size.
