"Save As" Window and "Open" window do not show Maximize and Minimi

Most likely a silly question but with all my applications, the "file open"
window and the "save as" window do not have a maximize or minimize button.
They only have a question mark and a "X". I'm think this may be a setting in
XP that has to be changed but I don't know where to look.

Thanks

This is by design, I don't think there is a requirment to maximize or
minimize this window

Thanks for your response. On my machine at home, when I "file open" or "save
as" with WordPerct 10, I get a maximize and minimize button but not so at the
office. I find it useful if you have a lot of files to search through, you
don't have to use the scroll bars. May be this is WordPerct issue? Thanks
again for your time.

Thanks Gord for your thoughts. But that's the whole problem ... in
WordPerfect10, I can't resize the window. Double clicking on the title bar
does nothing and your can't stretch the window either. I can re-size in Excel
or Word with no problem but not so in WordPerfect. As I said before, on my
home computer, my "save as" and "open" windows have the max. and min. options
when I open up WordPerfect.

There must be a setting in either WordPerfect or Xp that makes these two
machine behave differently.

Thanks again for your input
