Samsung ML-1710: Wireless networking?

M

Mike

I have a generic CompUSA 4-port 10/100Mbps wireless broadband router.
I use a USB wireless card for my PC. I'm wondering, can I buy a
similar box and hook it up to the printer to get wireless networking?
This printer has the square side of a USB cable connection (sorry for
not knowing the terms).

Thanks for any info!

Yes, you can. This kind of product is called a USB print server and it's
available for wired and wireless networks. If it's ok to put the printer
nearby your wireless router and you have one 10/100 port available on iy,
then a wired USB print server ($50-$100) will be a bit cheaper to attach via
an ethernet cable than to pay extra for wireless capability. The CompUSA
website lists several models of these products, if their stores are
convenient for you.
