Same user login for Host and Remote PC RDC (Remote Desktop Connect

I want to have applications open on my host PC running and then access the
apps (same desktop?) remotely via laptop with RDC using same login as host
machine.

Both host and Remote will be running XP Pro.

Will using same login on both machines cause errors?

Will my desktop be the same?

If you are logged in when you leave your computer and you remote in with the
same username - then all your programs are left running.. As long as you
disconnect from the remote host and not logoff, you can switch to any other
client and remote in and continue your session.
