Runtime error on Pinnacle Studio 8

I'm at my wits end. I cannot get any help from Pinnacle
Systems Support. Maybe someone here can be of assistance.

Whenever I try to retrieve a saved file, or even click on
the Capture or Make a Movie tabs, I get "Runtime Error!
Abnormal program termination" messages. The second pop-up
message says "The memory could not be "read". I ran the
Repair sections of the installation CDs, and that did not
help. I finally uninstalled the program and then
reinstalled it to a different hard drive. I get the same
error messages and the program then terminates. The
program had been working fine, but I hadn't used it in a
couple of months. Now I cannot use it at all. I have
installed the latest update patch.

Not sure what the problem is except to say I have found
S8 to be a great programme when its not being 'flakey'!
Anyway, I would advise to uninstal the programme and
reload, but before you do that clear any registry
entries so there's nothing left behind when you re-
instal. I think Pinnacle have a download for clearing
registry entries if you cant to it manually. (I would do
it manually personally) Good luck.
