Running DOS applications in a DOS box

I hope someone can help me. I have a DOS application that we run on all of
our machines. On the Win98 machines it runs in full screen mode and on two
other XP machines it runs in full screen mode. I'm having difficulty with
my latest XP Pro machine in that I can run it full screen but the actual
space used is just the top half of the screen, the bottom half is black and
the top has the entire displayed screen scrunched into it. Has anyone else
had this problem? As I mentioned earlier two other XP machines work fine.
Any help is appreciated.

Try this:

With the application running, hold down the ALT key, then
press the ENTER key, then release both . . .

Good Luck !

MGGP,

Unfortunately all that did was shrink my "full screen" mode to a window.
Perhaps I'm not getting my situation across to everyone. Normally my DOS
application runs in full screen mode and fills the screen. What is
happening is that the DOS box is full screen but the application only fills
the top half and everything is "scrunched" into the top half (it makes
reading the print somewhat difficult). I put a shortcut on the desktop and
have set the properties to be "full screen". I have even started the app
then shrunk it to the task bar and then right clicked and chose properties
(these seem to be slightly different than the properties associated with the
shortcut) and then made this full screen. Upon clicking "O.K." I'm
presented with a choice of 1) apply properties to current window only or 2)
save properties for future windows with same title. Neither choice has
worked. Any ideas?

Byte,

I already tried that, again all it does is switch from windows to full
screen. Running it full screen is not the issue, getting the app to fill
the screen is the issue. No matter what mode I run it in, the app only
fills the top half of the screen/window. I have two other XP machines that
have no problem with this and the setups are exactly the same. Any other
ideas? Thanks for your help so far.

I solved the problem. After starting the program I had to shrink it down to
the Task Bar and then right click on the task bar item and choose
properties. From there I clicked on the "Layout" tab and changed the
"Window Size" box to a 25 height from a 50 height. I then saved all
settings for future items with the same name and restarted the app. It
worked, I can't believe that I didn't think of it before. Thanks again for
all your help and suggestions, you got me thinking again.
