Roller Coaster tycoon 3: Platinum Problem

Hey Guys! I an new to this forum, and I am in need of help with an error I get when I try too open the game.

The error reads :

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library.
Runtime Error
Program:... Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon3 Platinum\RCT3 plus.exe

Abnormal Program termination.

Im Running a Dell Dimension 9200 With MS XP Media center edition 2005

Processer: Intel Core 2 Duo

2 Gigs of ram


yadda yadda yadda. I can tell you That my PC is well over what this game needs, I think. :p

Make sure you have the latest video drivers for your graphics card/onboard graphics.

Also, updating the motherboard & sound drivers if needed may help.

Ditto with the motherboard Bios.

And search the Atari UK site (assuming you're UK) for any RCT3 patches.

I play that game with the two add-ons, Wild & Soaked (which are probably included in the Platinum edition) and it's great :thumb:

Hey! Thanks for the Reply. Now, I really dont like to ask people to spoon feed me, but any links in Specific for the updated drivers?

Google for a Dell Dimension 9200, maybe Dell will have the relevant drivers.

You'll also need your graphics card details, this information may be available at the Dell site.

Then go to the Nvidia or ATI site download and install the drivers. Or maybe the graphics drivers are available at the Dell site, dunno, I've never owned a Dell.

And make sure Win XP is up to date, do the Microsoft update thingie.

Ok! Thanks guys! OH NO! Here comes another noobish question!! Do I download and install ALL the drivers there? Or only like the urgent, and recommended?
