Review Date in Review Status Report

Chris

I've read that Frontpage is supposed to automatically
attribute a Review Date when pages are opened and
modified but when I look at the Review Status report
there are no dates on any of my pages.

Is there some global setting that I don't have turned on
to record this information?

Thanks!

Here's how the Review Date that appears in Workgroup
reports works.

1. Either:
o Right-click the file and choose Properties, or
o Open the file, choose Properties from the File
menu, and then click the Workgroup tab.

2. By using the Assign To field, assign the page to
someone for review, and click OK.

3. Later, the reviewer you assigned in step 2
(or anyone, actually) repeats step 1.

4. The reviewer then changes the value in the Review
Status field. When the reviewer clicks OK, FrontPage
stores the current date and time in the Review Date
field.

Saving a file updates the Modified Date field, not the
Review Date field.

Perhaps you're thinking of Tasks, and not Reviews. If you
select a file and then click Edit, Tasks, Add Tasks, you
can create a task associated with that page. Then, if
someone opens that file *from Task view* and saves the
page, FrontPage will ask if the change you're saving
complete the task.

However, FrontPage will not display this prompt if you
open the page any other way.
