Returning to orginal defalt setting when opening Word 2003

When I open Word 2003, Word opens up in landscape and
legal size. When I try to change the settings I get a
message saying, "settings you chose for the left and
right margins, column spacing or paragraph indents are to
large for the page width in some sections." Othewise it
will not allow me to change the settings. How can I get
Word 2003 to open with the orgianl defalt settings?
