Restore Microsoft Photo Editor as default editor from Paint in Windows Explored

Previously in Windows Explorer right clicking on a photo and selecting 'Edit' used to use
Microsoft Photo Editor [MPE] to edit one or more photos at a time. This I prefered.
Now Win Explorer uses Paint as default photo editor of one or more photos at a time. I want MPE back.
I reset 'Open' to associate with MPE but now I can only open one photo at a time in MPE.
MPE has "New', 'Image' & 'Efects' menu options that 'Paint' does not; I miss them and want them back.
MPE is much more powerful and useful at creating 'full screen' size photos from smaller ones.
How do I restore Microsoft Photo Editor as the default 'Edit' tool in the right click menu? Or.
How do I open a group of photos using Microsoft Photo Editor? And not one at a time!! Tedious!!
I need help. Can anyone help me?
