MP3 and WAV files.

Despite what some vendors claim you can't (reliably) "convert" WAVs to MIDI
(which is a set of computer instructions). It's like taking a recording of
an orchestra and outputting sheet music (or as someone else put it - this
question is asked *so* much - trying to create the cow from a pile of
hamburgers) . You might be able to transcribe (not convert), say, a solo
piano piece played with one hand...
