renew ip 192.168...no web page?????

Can't display a web page with IE6, Windows ME,
cleared out temp int pgs.,history, cookies
ran adaware and spybot
removed and reinstalled adapter through device mngr.
released and renewed ip add. and got a good one 192.168...

please help

A 192.168 ip address is non-routable. Unless you are behind a router or
hardware firewall, that is the cause of your problem.

simply release the IP address for your network card and reboot, this should
fix it.
