Remote desktop/ remote assistance connection speed requirements

What kind of ADSL connection do you need to really use these
(considering that both computers are connected to asymmetrical
DSL)? I am not talking about playing computer games, just the
"regular office applications"

Let's say I want to remotely assist somebody.
Then the update frequency for the remote screen will depend on
the upload speed of the remote machine.

Is DSL with 128 kbit upload sufficient for this ?

Does 384 kbit upload makes a noticeable difference vs 128 kb upload ?

Well, faster the connection the better it is. But with 128-bit you should
have a decent experience since RDP is totally a low-bandwidth protocol.
