Remote Control Console Session

Remotely managing a production server would be slightly easier if I was able
to remote control the console....

Does anyone know of a way in which I can do this??

It drives me nuts not being able to see what is happening on the console,
particularly when trying to troubleshoot any issues that may arise with the
production software.

Anyone.....

But with Win2003 Server you can either remotely control the server as well
as directly connect to the console of the server using the remote desktop
client. Since you seen have Win2000 Server Michael's option seems to suit
you best.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for that.

Just one question though....... is there a trick to installing it remotely??
From what I can gather I need to be sitting in front of the Server when it
is installed, as when I set the password through the TS session in which I
installed VNC it does not register.

It's alright here in my test environment, as I can walk to the next room and
set the password - however the production server I want to install it on is
in another state.

Anyway I can do this remotely, or do I have to ring someone and walk them
through setting it up???

Cheers
