I want to change some labels and an icon of my card reader drives in
    explorer.

Three of them are complete and have 2 keys like:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer
    \DriveIcons\K\DefaultLabel

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer
    \DriveIcons\K\DefaultIcon

The fourth one does only have the label key.

The changes I make and the icon addition to the fourth drive get lost when
    I restart the computer.

    Are these keys perhaps unchangeable?
Can the registry be scanned for errors?
