reduce size of .jpg e-mail attachments

Thomas

The mail wizard that reduces the size of image mail
attachments only does this for bitmap (.bmp) files and
not .jpg files. How can I assiciate these files with the
wizard. - thank you

JPG's have already been highly compressed. if you make them even smaller it
will degrade the quality much much more.

The XP association with jpg may have been lost. Try to repair this way.
Click on Start, click on Run and type the following in the textbox:
REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL
and press the Enter key
Note that there is a space between ...32 and SHI...

You can also download the free image resizer from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp
Download the file in one of your folder. Once done, double click on the file
to install it.
Then, right click on a photo (or a group of selected photos) and click on
Resize on the opening menu. Select the size you want and new files will be
added in your folder.
