Recovery of a password protected database

HELP

I have a database that I have used a simple password to
protect to keep people from opening. The database is
corrupted and when I try and do a repair/compact I get the
message not a valid password.

I can open the database using the password with no
problems but there are several tables that are corrupted.
When I attempt to use the Tools\Compact and Repair it
again asks for the password. I type it in and then I get
the "Not a Valid Password" message. The backup copies I
have of the database, created on our backup tapes all seem
to have this problem.

I there a utility available that can help me recover this
database? Im not sure this is the correct place to be
requesting information, so it I should post this someplace
differently let me know.

Appreciate any assistance and it would be a major issue to
loose this data.

Since you are able to open it, just clear the password, and then repair it.
