recover data

I have a user who saved data on the desktop of a mandatory profile, and then
rebooted the computer.

Is there a location, or method to recovering this data?

Have you looked in the desktop folder for that "mandatory" user?

Its a mandatory profile, the data is automatically discarded after logoff.

Hence why I'm looking for a way to recover it.

I have never heard of a "mandatory" profile. If the data was deleted
and IF not much has happened on that computer in the mean time an un-delete
tool may work.

This may be a moot point now, but in the future when you delete something or
empty your Recycle Bin and want to recover something from it. Stop using
the computer. Your recovery chances are better if the file has not been
overwritten.

Description
[[Restore files which are deleted from the recycle bin or deleted while
holding down the Shift key by mistake. Conversely, this program has another
function that makes it almost impossible to restore all deleted files. You
can use it after deletion of confidential documents, embarrassing files and
so on.]]
