Receiving a fax

Unable to receive a fax. I can send a fax with no problem.
When I research the help files I am pointed to the FAX
applet in the control panel but do not find one there.
When I browse the help system and click the FAX link I get
a message to contact the administrator for why this is
blocked. I am using a cable modem for high speed which is
one of the possible reasons in the help files but am
unable to find the cause. When I right click the devices
in fax services management the properties says that
receiving in enabled, however it does not work. I
downloaded a knowledgebase file that looked good since it
gave a procedure for enabling the FAX applet but called
for a resource kit file called cs.exe, have not found that
either. Any Ideas? Note: after reading the posts in this
news group someone else was having the same problem but he
solved his by his self.

From the mail, it looks like you are using the Fax solution that ships with
the OS. Can you specify the OS? Also, can you check if there are any event
logs when you receive? Does the modem give an indication that there was an
incoming call?
