Im running Windows2000 Professional 5.00.2195, SP4 fully updated. When I
insert a "Windows 2000 Professional With Service Pack 4 - Select Licensing"
CD, I get the following message:
"This CD-ROM contains a newer version of Windows than the one you are
presently using. Would you like to upgrade to Windows 2000?"
That strikes me as very strange. Anyway, I decided to see what it would do
if I said yes. I then choose the "Upgrade" option, agree to the license
agreement and click next at the hardware compatibility screen, then I get
the below error and Setup exits.
"Setup cannot create a temporary folder. Setup cannot continue."
Has anyone else seen this before? Im not so concerned about the second
message, but why would it think I need to upgrade, thats the real puzzler.
Thanks for any help,
-Erik
