read only font, can't open Powerpoint file

Guest

Hi.

I tried to open an Powerpoint file using Powerpoint 2003.
The fact is that that file was created with Powerpoint
2000 and whenever i try to open the file, it gives me an
msg box saying that the font on that file is in read only
mode and so, it fails to open the file.

Apreciate any help in this issue,

Thanks

The only help I can offer is to either install the needed fonts on your system,
or open the presentation in a previous version of PowerPoint and save it without
embedding the fonts. This is a crippling feature added to PowerPoint 2003 and
you'll want to make your business case for having it changed by writing to
Microsoft.

Contact Microsoft: Use MSWish to request features, report problems, etc.

I had already found the same answer u just told me about :)

version of Powerpoint 2000 and take off the embedding
fonts option.
