read-only file attribute

Using Windows XP home edition - When I make backup copies
of Outlook Express 6.0 Address book onto CD-RW, it will
only create read-only files. When check properties, error
message occurs if attempt to remove or change attributes.
Files will not transfer to 2nd computer.

One workaround is to put your files in a Compressed Folder (ZIP file), and
then burn the zip file to a CD. That way, when you unpack the zip folder on
the other system, the file properties will be preserved.
