RAS connection doesn't work after installing SP4

Hi,

I've found more post about this issue on the web, however
none with a solution.

Anyway, the problem I have is that after installing SP4 on
my Windows 2000 professional my RAS connection to my ISP
doesn't work. It waits a long in checking user and passwd
and then close. Sometimes, after this I receive the error
message 1717: The interface is unknown

How can I fix this ?? is there any patch from Microsoft to
solve this ?? Any clue will be greatly apreciated.

I would think this hotfix is relevant for you:

824301 - Error Message Occurs When You Try to Connect to a Server by Using a
Remote Access Connection

As the article states, you need to call Microsoft Product Support Services to
obtain it (outside the US, customers should contact their local Microsoft
subsidiary.). The support call will be be free as long as you refer to the
Knowledge Base Article number (Q824301) and ask for nothing more.
