Q Adprep/forestprep and Adprep/domainprep

Hi,

I have Win2000Server installed first, Win2000Server later.
The Win2000Server is a member server of the Win2003Server.
I've run dcpromo for both server. The domain of Win2003 is
MyDomain.com, and the domain for Win2000 is
SubDomain.MyDomain.com.
But I am very confused about the ADprep. Do I need to run
the ADprep in my domains?
Any help will be appreicated.

Hi Jason,

you have to run adprep always if you want to add a Windows Server 2003 as
Domain Controller in a Windows 2000 Active Directory.

(note that this article also refers to the steps required to add a WS2k3 to a
W2k AD)

Thanks Simon.
I am sorry I typed the Win2003Server to Win2000Server.
The truth is Win2003Server exists first, then the
Win2Kserver joined bo be a member of the Win2003Server.
Do I need to do the ADprep things in my domains?
