Put "home" key back the way it was! No 2nd key requirement!!!

I HATE having to hit a second key! I've been using WORD since window 3.1 and
I don't WANT to have to hit a second key. I'm used to it working the way it
works, why on earth make a change 15 years later???????? When I hit the home
key, I expect the cursor to go to the beginning of the line. Now that
EVERYBODY else has their home key do this, why does MS have to make theirs
different?

*What* are you finding to be different? You're quite clear on what is *not*
happening, but you make no mention of what *is*. What "2nd key" are you
referring to?

I have Word 2003 on nearly 100 different computers & 'Home' works as it
always has. The same is true in any version of Mac/PC Word - a single press
sends the insertion point to the beginning of the current line.

Home _is_ the way it always was. Could you describe your problem clearly?

Thought just occurred - Got to Tools>Options>General and clear the checks for:

Help for WordPerfect Users
Navigation Keys for WordPerfect Users

That should do it.

Go to Tools > Options > General and uncheck both options that mention
WordPerfect.
