Hi all,

I was out with this nice lady over the weekend I told her I would be making a pizza the next day and she said she wanted to see some pictures. I don't know if she was serious or not but I certainly was. :)

So I created this thread so that I can show you pcr folk and her.

Here goes:

That's brilliant :D :thumb:

I made home made pizza once, in me twenties, it was fabulous.

The dough had cheese in it, as I recall.

I lost the recipe, somewhere along the road though....

And hey, that's a veggie pizza. Nice :)

Very tasty PSD99, I like your topping quantity :D

I made one at the weekend too (chicken, peppers, onion and artichoke hearts!), and the secret method of making them super tasty is to use a pizza stone :D Mucks (I think) told me to get one years ago in another thread, and it's made a huge difference :thumb: Would really recommend one if you make them regularly

Thanks all for the comments I don't eat meat. :)

It was all home made except the sauce. Any ideas for the sauce on the base?
Admin what is a pizza stone?

It's one of these (think it's the same one I've got):

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kitchen-Cra...r_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1234262426&sr=8-1

You heat it in the oven before you put the base on it, and it cooks it from the bottom and makes a nice crispy base like you'd get in a restaurant. Next time I make a pizza I'll post a photo so you can see what it does :thumb:

For a nice sauce, I use roughly chopped vine tomatoes (or tinned chopped if I'm lazy), onions, garlic, tomato puree, basil, salt+pepper... then sometimes a splash of red wine if there's a bottle open :D

thanks for the tip I look forward to your pictures :)

Here we go :D It's the first pizza I've made since then, so I took some photos as promised :thumb:

Toppings are onions, green pepper, chicken and artichokes (mmm, I love artichokes!)
