Promise RAID - Not finding disks.

T

ToddC

I have a Promise IDE RAID controller on my motherboard.
The RAID BIOS sees and enables the Mirrored pair of
drives. Windows 2000 installs the correct driver for it,
but it does not recognize or find any disks in Disk
Manager. Am I forgetting something, or is there a known
problem with this?

Thanks,

ToddC

If this is a clean install, try getting the latest driver and specifying it
with F6 on boot.

I don't know why people even bother with RAID solutions that require
drivers or which are OS dependent. There's a product that has been
around for year, called DupliDisk from Arco. I belive you can find it
at www.duplidisk.com. I suggest you look into that.
