Windows XP problem with my Laptop(help needed)

i'm having a problem installing xp cd on my Tosiba laptop

1. i insert the xp cd

2.i have create a new partion a new C drive

3. While installing the software i get this error message:

windows XP Professional Setup

Setup cannot copy the file: driver.cab

  • to retry, press ENTER
  • If you are installing from a CD, make sure the Windows XP CD is in the xp drive.
  • To skip the file, press ESC. CAUTION: if you skip this file, setup may not complete and windows XP may not work properly.
  • to quit Setup, press F3.
i would appreciate if you could help me out guys. thanks in advanced

i also get this error message when load up the cd again

"Windows setup

File \i386\ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded.
the error code is 7

setup cannot continu. press any key to exit."

Is the disc a Recovery Disc (that came with the laptop) or a Full version of XP?
