Problem installing/running Heroes of might and magic IV

I tried to install HMM IV on my new computer running Windows XP Home and when
I run the game I got the message "Access denied. Try logging on with
administrator privileges". I am sure that I HAVE administrator privileges and
tried doing almost everything suggested in this forum for similar problems. I
uninstalled the game, updated my video driver, reinstalled the game in safe
mode through the compatibility wizard and I still get the same error. In safe
mode I noticed that there is another administrator account which was probably
used to install the OS by the manufacturer (Dell). I tried installing and
running the game under this account in safe mode which did not help. The
hardware is passing all the requirements of the game. My computer specs are
2.8 GHz, 256 MB, 80 GB, Intel 82865G video card, DirectX 9.0b.

Anyone have any suggestions of how to run one of my favorite games? Thank you!

Hi Bob,

It's possible that your administrator account lost some of
it's access privileges. The easiest way to correct that
would be to create and use a new administrator account.
