Printing prob with PPT 2000 presentation opened in PPT 2003

Starting with a map created in PPT 2000, with many text and graphics boxes.
In 2000, there are no lines around text boxes, and graphics lines/symbols are
set at a medium gray (and this is how it prints). Now, this plan looks fine
when opened in 2003, BUT some (not all) of the text boxes now print with
lines around them, and some (not all) of the the graphics lines/symbols print
a dark gray.

Is there a conversion step from 2000 to 2003; if so, please let me know?

Or, is this something else entirely? Thanks for your help.

The first thing to do when installing Office 2003 or PowerPoint 2003 is to go to
Help > Check for Updates and install service pack 1. Have you done that?
