"Printer Settings could not be saved. Operation could not be completed"

Hi all,

I have a w2k TS MF 1.8 server with a client attached. Recently the
user clamied difficulties when trying to print. After deleting the
printer and trying to install it again I ran into problems. First, I
could not select the correct printer driver from the "chose driver"
menu during install (Brother MFC-3100). So I choose the MFC-9000.
Next I went into the pritner settings to correct the driver. Under
the drop down box under the Advanced tab I see the correct driver.
However when I select it and hit OK, I receive this error:

"Printer settings could not be saved. Operation could not be
completed."

Any idea why this is happening. I do not know why this started
happening. The only two changes that I could think may have caused
this are changing the computer name and applying Service Pack 4.
Would this cuase it? I really haven't looked into how SP4 runs on
Citrix, but maybe its the problem.

Any ideasa?

Have you tried to manually remove those printer drivers
from the system and the registry and then reinstall them?
Or, better yet, have you tried to use an edited
ntprint.inf file to force that printer to use a different
driver?
