Printer Migration to Cluster

E

Eric

I have a standalone Win2K server sharing many printers
and I would like to move these printers to a Win2K
cluster without touching the workstation.

I used the print migration tool to move the printers to
one cluster node. I then changed the name of the
standalone print server and added a network name resource
to the cluster with the server name of the original
standalone print server.

When clients try to print to printers they receive the
following error message:

"Operation could not be completed. Either the printer
name was typed incorrectly, or the specified printer has
lost its connection to the server. For more information
click Help."

Should this work or is there a better way to move the
printers with minimal downtime or reconfiguration for
users?

Thanks in advance.
