Print Spooling slow since installing SP4 on Print Server

We have a distributed environment where users connect to
Citrix Servers and run their applications. In a remote
site, we have a print server, where the printers for that
site are shared. Since installing SP4 and the latest
updates, the spooling process is much slower. The user
sees the Printing dialog box show up for much longer than
before.

This only happens with certain printers, namely a Xerox
Phaser 5400 PS. When printing to a HP Color LaserJet 4500
at the same site, using Postscript, we do not see the same
slowness.

Could this be related to the TCP 4 KB buffer limit issue,
or could there be something else going on?

If this affects only limited set of printers I would start with updating
drivers for those printers and trying to see what affected printers have in
common to find the pattern for the problem. Try to switch between RAW and
EMF print modes, play with spooling settings.
