print spooler update

A few weeks ago i asked,on the forum if anyone could advise me how to turn on the spooler service in xp. I think i must have had a virus that dissabled it. I had many replies but unfortunately none worked,and in the end i did a complete reinstall of xp, without sp2. Now alls working well. I did not realise how many people have had the same problem untill i typed the error message into yahoo search engine,they were all lexmark printers. I have since noticed that microsoft have a download to stop this virus attacking your machine,it is free on thier site
