Print screen not working (Prt Scr).

I have been trying to get screenshots of Flight Simulator 2004 to
send when asking for help. For some reason my Prt Scr key doesn't do
anything. I've tried to "Alt+Prt Scr" , to put it on the clipboard,
but there is nothing to paste when I do this. I also can't find the
"clipboard viewer" in the Start | Programs | Accessories menu...it IS
installed in the Window's Components.

Any help appreciated.

It might be that Flight Simulator program doesn't respond to the PrtScr?

Have you confirmed that PrtScr copies the desktop (or Alt-PrtScr copies
the active window) to the clibboard when running a "normal" windows
program, e.g. Internet Explorer?

Viciii,

First, are you aware that after you press the "Print
Screen" you must open a program to past the screenshot
into in order to view it? I usually open Paint and then
use the Edit/Paste.

Second, you can use "Clipbrd.exe". to view what you
have captured to the clipboard. You must get it from the
C:\Windows\System 32 folder. Go there, using Explorer or
by using Start/Search and you can right click it and make
a shortcut, which you can place wherever you like. I keep
a shortcut, which I call "Clipboard" in
Start/Programs/Accessories.

Hope this helps,
Milt

Actually, I've found since, that "Shift+PrtScr" will copy to the
clipboard for me. And I've finally managed to get the Clipboard Viewer
to show up in the Programs | Accesories menu. (don't ask me why it
didn't work the first 3 times I set it up under Windows | programs
install).

Thanks everyone.

Do a search for the Free program called PrintKey2000. It will allow you to
select a portion of the screen, save it to disk.

I had a slightly similar problem when I wanted to capture a DVD screen.
Tried Prt Scr, Irfanview & Snag-it (the last in both in Screen-capture mode
& 1 sec. video frame shots), but always finished up with a black image.
I eventually found my DVD software had a screen-copy function which solved
that, so I have a feeling it depends on the type of image the video card is
handling.
What you think you see is not what always what you really see. :)

What I learned to do was to "open wordpad or simular and then minimize
that, the push -alt-printscreen together and maximize wordpad and paste"
works for me,you can also select what you want to paste.

Thanks "jake" and Mmobileman, for yor suggestions. I found a program
for Flight Simulator specifically designed to get FS screenshots
easily, one after another, without overwritting them on the
"clipboard".

Think I'll give it a try.

Thanks again.
